ROSE McFARLANE LINDSAY.... at just the age of 59 at 12.27am on the 16th of may 2006 rose sadly past away, she was a much loved wife of sam, a mother of angus, mandy, michelle, sammy, donna, gareth. a nanna great nanna, a beloved sister and freind too. it was true when you say you only get one of a kind because that was rose. rose would put anyone before her self and was all ways there if not needed, she was a funny down to earth type of women that never judge anyone.... the hardest thing i ever had to do was to let my mum go she is always close to my heart and will be and be really missed!!!! mum you are not in anymore pain now untill we meet again good night and god bless. we will miss you and always will.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x IN LOVING MEMORY

My Perfect Mother
Your heart is big. Your love is pure. You want the best for me and care about everything I’m going through. You often put my needs above your own and overlook my mistakes. You love me without condition. Whatever I am and whatever I do is okay with you. You accept me … all of me. You’re more then I could have ever hoped for in a mother. You’re my perfect mother, and I’m so thankful for you.
You’re always there to hear my complaints, to share my joy and feel my pain, to listen to my latest adventure, to advise me, to cry with me and hope for me and laugh with me, to forgive me when I do something dumb. I’ve never heard a harsh word from you that wasn’t justified. I’ve never seen selfishness from you…… only a mother who gives her love freely, happily joyfully, and perfectly.
If I looked the world over, I could never find a mother more perfect than you. If I could choose anyone at all for my mum, I’d choose you. I’m so lucky that god put me in your family and gave me you as a mother. After all. I wouldn’t be me without you. BEING A MOTHER IS ONE OF THE HARDEST JOBS IN THE WORLD
This all important job comes with little or no training. There is no license or degree to certify that you are properly educated and skilfully prepared for the job. Unlike most careers, motherhood is one full of ups and downs. No one is more important than those you are in charge of. Every mistake, slip up, or decision can have you wondering and second guessing yourself, your motives and you’re expertise. You may long for peace and instead get pouting and rebellion.
When difficult times seem overwhelming and you wonder whatever possessed you to become a parent in the first place, remember… the answer is love. It’s love that will see you through every heartache and worry. Love will soothe, kiss and hug away fears and sadness. Its love that is balanced with discipline and caring, humour and responsibility, love that can say no when it’s the best answer and yes whenever possible. This kind of love never disappears, even when everything else seems to – because the love of a mother is the only kind guaranteed to be unconditional and never ending.

Life goes by and in this busy world sometimes it’s easy to forget to tell those we love just how much they mean to us. I want to tell you – you are loved, you are appreciated and you are cherished. When I was a child, I didn’t understand how hard you worked to provide everything you wanted me to have. Some might say that’s a parent’s job.
But looking back, I know you did so much more and gave so much more than you needed to. And you did it with so much love. You put your own needs aside to care for me. Now I’m an adult, I understand how you sacrificed and I know how lucky I am to have been blessed with such a wonderful mother. I know I’ve told you many times how much I love you, but I wonder if I’ve ever told you much I admire you and how proud I am to have you as a mother. I look at you and I see a strong woman so filled with love and courage and kindness. You’re one of the most giving people I’ve ever known always looking out for others first, putting their needs ahead of your own.
Along with that loving gentleness, there is so much strength in you too. You’re someone who stands up for what they believe in and you aren’t afraid to speak your mind. I’ve always thought you could do anything …. Move any mountain, solve any problem, and make any dream come true.
You’ve been a role model for me, mum and I want you to know how much I admire you. I just hope one day I can become even half the person you are.
